Just testing this camera’s level of detail in low light, indoors, with nightshot plus and in daylight.

I just bought a Sony Handycam, it uses a DVD instead of a tape to record the videos. I have uploaded the software onto my computer, I tried to upload it through the cable that came with the camcorder and I even put in the DVD but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Hi – I had an older camcorder – it was an analog sony handycam of the late nineties – and there was a way to put it in VTR mode (i think thats what it was called…when you put it in the mode to watch the vids) there was a way to hook it up to the tv press a couple camcorder buttons simultaneously so that the picture on the television was transferred to the camcorder and you could record it directly by using the cable and pressing a few buttons. I cannot figure out how to do this with my new camcorder – it’s a sony digital DCRHC36 (it takes those little mini-tapes) and i’ve resorted to filming the screen but that just is not working (fuzzy pic, stripes, outside noise, etc) does anyone know how to do with the new camcorder what i was able to do with the old one? THANKS!

i got a canon DC95 dvd camcorder andi cant seem to play it on any dvd player, not even on a laptop.pls could anyone give me a detailed instuction or manuals..i just captured my sisters emgagement party last night and we all wanna see it on widescreen.

When I try to transfer videos from my JVC Everio GZ-MG130U camcorder to my PC, they play back with no sound. I’ve tried using the software that came with the camera and drag and drop. Nothing works. Anyone know what’s going on?

I made this short 37 seconds test DVD movie clip in 9 long hours today. Have been using relatively new Sony High Definition Camcorder HDR-SR7E. The Camera is producing the M2TS movie files and I was unable to find M2TS file converter anywhere on the website. So I decided to try the Picture Motion Browser application provided by Sony. Successfully converted M2TS file into MPEG-2 file. To put the film together I used a Sony Vegas 7.0a movie editor and easily combined MPEG-2 video with MP3 audio files. I rendered my 37 seconds test movie as follows: Format Main Concept MPEG-2 (*.mpg); Template DVD NTSC; Video 29.97 fps, 720X480 pixels. For sure the next movie I will make in less then 45 minutes. Cheers to All. More at http://picasaweb.google.com/chris.krokos/

I want to upgrade from my Hi-8 Sony camcorder. Which is the best to buy without being too expensive. I will use it to video my kids and family. Is there a way to put my
